From Italy to Sri Lanka to Greece to Mexico to Thailand to Japan to Australia we can literally go around the world in our bellies without leaving home.

Here’s our Top 8 takeaway and delivery options this weekend to help with the lock in, so don your fave frock and trouser set, pour a local beer or spirit and lean right in.

Oh Lolita you sweet Latin thing, you tempted our taste spuds last weekend and now you’re ready for us to take you home with those tasty tacos.

Loaded with all the good stuff there’s larger plates and adds on like corn, poppers and tostadas, with sweetest the Mexican treats to boot.

Oh and did we mention margaritas, yep Lolita knows her tequila from traditional to jalapeno spicy-order online and drive through Amigos.

Tucker quickly put the van in gear and started delivering home cooked meals to our door, in typical Tucker fashion the meals are fresh, tasty and complimented by ice-cream and booze.

Think butter chicken and risotto and a whole lot of goodness in between. Sunday night’s dinner offering will include a free Balter beer-word has it they sell pretty quick so pre-orders are a must.

Tasca is going old school phone in and pick up and they promise to keep you well fed and watered-with a traditional tiramisu to sweeten the deal.

Tasca is all about pasta, their larder is full of the good stuff like home made gnocchi, Italian sauces and more.

There’s an array of boutique wines to choose from that will compliment your house made pasta dish and did we mention tiramisu.

Mahsuri has been servicing the takeaway needs of the Tweed for over a decade so these guys were all over it when we were told to go to our rooms.

Expanding their main menu to include daily, affordable dishes for the whole family like a red curry chicken and pad si beef takeaway- delicious.

Slinging bottles of their best wines into the takeaway mix is a good reason to order a bottle of prosecco to accompany fresh, local authentic Thai food.

Creating a takeaway cocktail menu to compliment their banging curries sounds like a good idea to us.

The freshest ingredients are used to create the tastiest Sri Lankan spiced food, there ‘not butter chicken’ dish is one to rave about and we can’t go past the Goan Fish Curry and house made paratha bread.

There’s beer and wine available for take out as well as one of the most creative cocktail lists around- we’re loving the new take home drinks vibe.

Delivering family packs and yep more wine, this little beauty has gone on-line and ready and able to deliver Greek food to your door.

From supersized souva’s and chips to dips and flat bread to slow cooked lamb. Greek is a good take out for the whole family and the ideal food to share at home.

There’s an array of salads to accompany your vino, oops we meant to say food seriously all this take away booze has us like….

A take away favourite from way back and with the best name in town we can’t go past the Stunned Mullet.

Fish n Chips are always a good idea any day of the week but especially a Friday, creating family moments in time right there.

The salt and pepper squid and fish tacos are the bees knees and if you add the delicious salads from the cabinet you’ve covered the 5-food groups right?

There’s local kombucha to wash down all that takeaway wine you tasted along the way and man with the week, month we’re all having throw in a supersize of fries with lashings of rosemary and garlic salt.

We found our bento box and sushi packs to takeaway from the hardworking team at Izakaya Potts. A Japanese den that has the tastiest, fresh food these guys and gals have adapted to change and are offering their finest dishes to take out.

Available for pick-up Friday and Saturday, we are obsessing over the karaage chicken with seaweed salad and a side of vegetable croquettes- fresh and tasty take away to stay home this weekend.
