Sunflower Fields at Farm & Co, Cudgen

Tucked away on Cudgen Road, Farm & Co’s vibrant sunflower crop has quickly become an Instagram sensation here on the Tweed Coast. Take a leisurely stroll throughout these dreamy golden fields and snap the perfect sunflower selfie before treating yourself to some organic, farm fresh local produce. Be sure to follow along with @farm.and.co to stay updated on the best times to see the sunflowers in bloom!

Cabarita Headland

Not only one of our favourite places to spend a day by the water, Cabarita Headland also offers some pretty epic photo opportunities for the keen Instagrammer. With sweeping ocean views right down the coastline, this lush grassy headland provides the ultimate beachfront backdrop – no filter required. Pull up your car and enjoy a sunset picnic overlooking the ocean, or trek up the Caba stairs to soak up 360-degree views from Norries lookout (between May and September, you might even spot a cheeky whale or two). Bliss!

The Taverna Door in Kingscliff

If you can’t swing the airfare to Santorini, #thetavernadoor in Kingscliff is quite possibly the next best thing. Yes, this charming mint door (flanked by bright bougainvillaea and a sweet white facade) is so iconic, it has its very own hashtag. Book a table at Taverna’s renowned Greek-inspired restaurant overlooking Kingscliff beach and enjoy Mediterranean share plates packed with flavour before catching the perfect photo opportunity on your way out the door. Halcyon House Wall, Cabarita

With a crisp white and blue colour scheme and luxe coastal feel, Halcyon House has become one of the Tweed Coast’s most instantly recognisable hotspots. Located beachside at Cabarita, this boutique 5-star hotel features a unique besser-block facade that makes for stunning Insta snaps. Indulge in a luxury weekend getaway or treat yourself to a meal at Halcyon’s award-winning restaurant Paper Daisy before capturing a candid moment in front of this architectural masterpiece.

Baked at Ancora Swings

As if there wasn’t already enough good reasons to visit Baked at Ancora (hello, authentic Parisian pastries), this waterfront bakery also provides some pretty great photo opportunities too. Baked’s modern interiors include statement neon signage, barn-style doors and our favourite feature – rope ceiling swings, allowing you to take a quick snap for the gram as you devour your delicious baked goods!

Kartel Espresso Cactus Wall

It’s no secret that Kartel Espresso in Cabarita is one of our favourite places to grab a cuppa here on the Tweed Coast, but did you know this much-loved local coffee joint has been recently revamped with a colourful cactus feature wall? Taking snaps for the ‘gram is highly encouraged as you wait for your (delicious) takeaway coffee – we won’t judge.

Tropical Fruit World Cactus Garden

Another one for the cactus lovers, Tropical Fruit World in Duranbah has an actual cactus garden for you to explore in real life. Take a tour through this family-owned plantation and taste test some exotic fruits before heading down to the cactus garden for a quirky Insta backdrop. Don’t miss the magic views from the valley right out to Mount Warning during your stay!

Sugar Cane Fields

The sugar cane fields throughout the Tweed region are well-worth a visit when it comes to dreamy Instagram snaps. These tall grassy crops provide the perfect lush backdrop, especially if you can time it with that golden afternoon light. Take your pick with the various sugar cane crops located on Plantation Road in Cudgen, out the back of coastal village Pottsville, or on the scenic hinterland drive to Murwillumbah.
